Donde la luna es vertical - Missä kuu on pystysuorassa
Photobook
Self-published in 2021. 46 copies.
A dialogue between the quotidian and common elements of human and natural landscapes in Finland. A reflection on perspective: We find the same basic things everywhere but like the moon, they look different depending where we stand in the world. An intimate exploration of a place I feel close and distant at the same time.

Chasing a pink Elephant in the sky
This is a zine made in Helsinki in 2022. It tells a short story of a cloud in the shape of an elephant.
A visual poem.
HIAA FEST - Kaapelitehdas - Cable Factory. Helsinki - 2023
HIAA FEST was a collective exhibition organized by Helsinki International Artists Association. I participated with these two mixed media works

Donde estoy las cosas flotan- Things float where I am
(Work in progress)
What does it mean to remain and inhabit? How and where do you put down roots? How wide can you spread them?
For the last 9 years I have lived between Bogota and Helsinki. These questions came from a feeling of starting all over again every time I moved, a feeling of constant transition and adaptation. Me divided, questioned, contrasted. This is a long term, self-reflecting and multidisciplinary art project in which I use photography, drawing, video and text as ways to blur the limits between "here" and "there".

Dibujos a ciegas - blind drawings
This is a branch of the project "Donde Estoy las Cosas Flotan". Here, I draw with my eyes closed different spaces of the place I call home. Afterwards I make a version of the same space with my eyes open and I color them also while seeing. By doing this, I experience from another sensorial perspective the space and place that I inhabit.

Luokasta
(Work in progress)
As an immigrant I feel always in transition. During Autumn 2021 and spring 2022 I took a Finnish language course where I shared with people from all over the world and different backgrounds. Our lives coincided in this one particular school in Helsinki. We are all in transition and in different ways we share aspects of our lives. Language bond us in manners we are not often aware off. Using a broken Finnish, I recorded interviews I had with them, I took portraits of my classmates and gave them a disposable camera so they could take pictures of whatever they found relevant in their life in Finland. I want to show the transition processes, how language transcends and we understand each other at a human level.

De Inventario
(To be published)
In 2020 during the quarantine time at home in Bogota, I started making cyanotypes from pictures I took at home. A list of everyday-life objects, a mix between reality and fiction. Inventario in Spanish means inventory, however, if we get playful with the words, “de inventario” can also mean inventing. In a historical moment characterized by virtual interactions, I am drawn to revive the use of analogue photography techniques and reflect on the symbolism and meaning it could bring to the work. De inventario is meant to be published as a book format object.

Exploring other printing techniques
I am interested in different printing techniques, one of them being risography. These are 2 editions of risograph prints in February 2023, one using the frames of an amateur animation I made during 2022 called A happy though. The second, Paso Profundo, was made out of a photography I took thinking about difficult times and the need to step in the deep to move forward.

Other projects
Two series came from observations during the 2020's quarantine: Life and death in my kitchen and Details around the corner.
The first one is focused on the vegetables and fruits bought for me and my family's consumption. The second, is the result of walks around my neighborhood and some neighborhoods near by in Bogotá.
I decided they should become postcards. Printed in 2022.
